Ise Shima National Park, a beautiful and naturally diverse area throughout the seasons, is located among spectacular islands on the central, Pacific Ocean side of Japan. In particular the famous Ise Grand Shrines attract visitors all year round. Close to the lager, Naiku, shrine is the Oharaimachi area which, famed for its traditional style buildings, always attracts the crowds.
This region contains a maze of trails into the eminent history of Japan. A lot of traditional cultures, folk tales, customs and festivals remain, including perhaps most famously the professional woman divers, who can still be observed at work.
